Frequently Asked Questions
No, I only offer telehealth services to those residing in the state of Ohio via your secure client portal through SimplePractice. While this may not be a perfect fit for everyone, virtual therapy services can be a game changer for busy parents and anyone juggling a lot. No commute. No waiting rooms. And yes, you can show up in sweats and a t-shirt. I'm here to meet you where you are (literally).
My rate is $130 per individual session or $200 for a Comprehensive Mental Health or Substance Use Assessment. I accept credit cards, including HSA and FSA cards. Before your first session, you’ll get a quick email prompting you to securely add a card on file. After each session, your payment is processed automatically at the end of the business day. No surprises.
I do not accept insurance. However, there are advantages to not using insurance to pay for therapy. I believe your mental health care should be shaped by you, not by insurance companies. Here’s what that means:
You’re in the driver’s seat. You decide how often we meet and what kind of support feels right, no pre-approvals, no session limits.
You don’t need a mental health diagnosis on your medical record just to get support.
Your therapy stays between us. No third-party reviews or insurance paperwork means your information stays private.
Private pay gives you more freedom, more privacy, and more say in your care, exactly how it should be.
I'm laid back, real, and here to meet you where you are, no therapy jargon, no pressure to be anything but you.
My approach is kind of a mixed bag (in the best way). I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. I pull from person-centered, psychodynamic, CBT, mindfulness-based practices, and motivational interviewing, and I use what fits best in the moment, based on what you’re needing that day.
And no, I’m not going to throw worksheets at you or expect you to show up with homework every week. Some days we’ll sort through the patterns or what’s been building beneath the surface; other days might just be about making it through the hard stuff in real time.
We’ll talk about the things that feel heavy, the patterns that keep showing up, and the parts you’ve been carrying quietly. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you, it’s about helping you feel more like you again.
And if it feels like you’re sidestepping something real, I’ll help you sit with it, not run from it.
Nope! I see moms and the people who love them. That includes dads, partners, and anyone navigating the messy, beautiful chaos of parenthood.
I also work with teens (15+). While my practice focuses on the parenting journey, I’ve spent years supporting teens through anxiety, depression, identity exploration, and substance use. I continue to work with teenagers because I genuinely love this work, and I know how much it matters to have a space that feels real, supportive, and built just for them.
Absolutely! Life doesn't pause for therapy (and neither does parenting a tiny human). If bringing your baby helps you show up, I'm all for it.
Yes, absolutely. As part of the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) outlining the expected cost of therapy services.
You’ll get your estimate by email at least 3 days before your first appointment. If you're scheduled within that 3-day window, we’ll still make sure it’s sent before your session.
A Good Faith Estimate is just that, an estimate. It’s not a bill, and it’s not a contract. It’s simply there to help you understand the potential costs and make informed choices about your care.
