/ ABOUT ME /
Hi, I'm Katlyn
MSSW, LISW
I’m a Licensed Independent Social Worker with nine+ years of experience helping people through all kinds of emotional chaos, from big life transitions and relationship stress to identity crises and postpartum rage that shows up uninvited at 3 a.m.
Before this, I spent years in community mental health, school-based settings, and working with substance use, so I’ve seen people at their messiest, most human moments. But my heart kept pulling me toward the emotional rollercoaster that is parenthood. That’s where I found the work I love most.
These days, I specialize in perinatal mental health, supporting moms, birthing parents, and their partners from “maybe we’re ready?” to “why is no one talking about this part?” Whether you’re navigating the pressure of preparing for baby, anxiety, depression, birth trauma, or the absolute identity earthquake that parenthood can bring… I’ve got you.
As a mom myself, I know firsthand how disorienting this chapter can be. I’ve been through the dark days — the tears-in-the-parking-lot, rage-over-nothing, “who even am I anymore?” kind of days — and I’ve done the hard work to find my way through. That’s why this work matters so much to me. I’m not just here as a therapist. I’m here as someone who gets it.
As an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I'm committed to creating a space where all parents, of any identity, orientation, or family structure, feel seen, supported, and respected.
I work with individuals navigating parenthood in a space that’s judgment-free and totally human.
My style? Compassionate, real, and a little bit no-nonsense. I’m not the blank-slate, mm-hmm-ing type of therapist. I’ll ask the hard questions, celebrate the small wins, and sit with you in the mess without trying to fix what doesn’t need fixing.
Therapy with me isn’t about “getting it together”; it’s about finding a way to feel more like yourself in a chapter that can make you feel like a stranger in your own life.
